Six months in: What’s new since the WiLL project began?

Launching in January this year, Work. Live. Leicestershire (WiLL) is helping enable rural access to employment training or learning opportunities for those not currently in work. Initially operating in North West Leicestershire and Hinkley and Bosworth, the project is now extending services into Melton and Harborough too.

So far, the project has progressed over 100 participation enquiries with above half resulting in confirmed programme engagement. This is made possible through our partnership of organisations, which has recently grown to include B-Inspired. In linking up with other services too, we are working beyond to futher help reduce the impact of certain employment barriers (find more information here).

Our delivery teams are moving forward too, with a series of courses, drop-ins and events pencilled in across target areas on a monthly basis (see our calendar here). Through a series of staff meetings and events, the project is regularly bringing delivery staff together to share ideas and discuss the progress of the project. This is helping us establish how best to support people and build better rural futures together.

For further information about our project, please get in touch via our contact us page.
