This week saw the launch of Work. Live. Leicestershire; a collaborative project helping rural residents across the county to move into job search, training or employment.
At the Charles Booth Centre in Thringstone, all 8 partnership organisations came together on Tuesday the 29th of January to celebrate the beginnings of the 18-month project. Following initial networking, lead organisation Vista presented, with CEO Susan Hoath introducing the programme and Director of New Opportunities Jamie MacKrill explaining delivery aims of the project moving forward.
Providing a tailored approach to individual's work and wellbeing needs, it is estimated the project will help over 500 individuals by June 2020. Once established in Hinkley and Bosworth, and North West Leicestershire, the project is then due to extend into rural Melton and Harborough areas too.
