The WiLL project is officially launched in Market Harborough

We staged the official launch of the Work.Live.Leicestershire (WiLL) Programme in the Harborough District. We are already active in North West Leicestershire, Hinckley and Bosworth, and Melton Mowbray. We will now be assisting people in the Harborough District, who are unemployed or economically inactive, to move into job search, training or employment.

The launch was held in the Symington Building in Market Harborough. The project was formally launched by Rachel Cheney, WiLL Programme lead. The event was attended by representatives of the Harborough District Council, the Leicestershire County Council, Voluntary Sector Organisations and Job Centre Plus.

The WiLL project is currently hosting a regular work club in the Market Harborough Library (Tuesdays 10am - 12pm), and a pop-up work club, at the library in Broughton Astley (Tuesdays 2pm - 4pm) . A further pop-up work club is planned for Fleckney in the new year. In addition to the work clubs, we hold regular one-to-one meetings with project participants. We aim to help over 500 project participants across the county. Funding for the project is provided by the European Social Fund and The National Lottery Community Fund, under the umbrella of Building Better Opportunities initiative.
