Richard, a previously unemployed Harborough resident is now proudly able to say that he has been successful in securing a job despite the current pandemic and lockdown.
Richard, who is over 60, was referred to the Work.Live.Leicestershire (WiLL) Project by the job centre in December 2019 after he had to leave his previous job due to a health condition.
Richard was given tailored 1-2-1 support from WiLL Keyworker, Beverley Brown. Together they looked at his skills and experience, and prioritised goals for Richard to work towards. This included attending several courses that are available through the WiLL programme.
“There was a variety of courses to choose from. All delivered in a small, friendly environment. I was able to set my own pace, and felt supported every step of the way”, states Richard.
Through his hard work and determination, and newfound confidence, Richard was able to secure a temporary position during the lockdown period and subsequently a full-time permanent position which he absolutes loves.
Richard states: “Being part of the WiLL programme helped me tremendously in finding my current employment which I am thriving at. I would like to thank my Keyworker, Beverley, for her commitment and support in helping me achieve my goals.”
