Work. Live. Leicestershire is led by Vista, the leading local charity for supporting children and adults with sight loss in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland. Collaborating with other locally based organisations to deliver our project, we provide support to unemployed and economically inactive people based in rural Leicestershire. What information do we collect?
Information you provide will surround your enquiries, participation or support of our project. This can include (but is not exhaustive of) :
- Email addresses
- Telephone numbers
- Date of birth
- Copies of proof of identity, employment and right to work in the UK documentation.
- Other details involving your circumstances or access relative to our project.

Why do we collect your data?
We use information to respond to you, inform the future contact you have with us and help us understand more about who is engaging with our project and why. Sometimes we may use additional information to enhance and monitor the data we have, so that we have a better understanding of our supporters and can effectively inform our funders.
We do analyse and report on data about the number and nature of contacts across the programme. These reports do not contain information which enable you or other individuals to be identified. Sometimes we use the experiences of our project’s participants and contributors to explain the scope and impact of the support we provide. In these circumstances we will either anonymise any personal/identifying information or obtain full consent from you to use your information.
Who do we share information with?
As a partnership consisting of several organisations that is funded by the European Social Fund and the National Lottery Community Fund, data processing can involve sharing information across involved organisations and with the DWP (Department of Work and Pensions) in accordance with European Commission regulatory requirements. Any information you provide will therefore only be shared to essential parties on a need-to-know or legal basis.
There may be instances where your information might be shared with third parties when we refer you to external services or feature in our project’s marketing materials. We would approach you ask for your voluntary consent before sharing information about you with other organisations or audiences that extend beyond our essential data processing.
